I’m a Luthier based in Rossville, Georgia, just across the state line from Chattanooga, Tennessee. I build flat top guitars in the tradition of the great American makers of the 1920’s and 30’s, with a particular interest in the more obscure makers and models.

I build and repair exclusively with hot hide glue, hand tools, and a spirit varnish I make from scratch.

I apprenticed and worked for eight years at Atlanta Violins in Roswell, GA, all the while restoring old guitars for myself and others and learning how to build after hours. The level of expertise and craftsmanship in the Violin repair tradition is astounding. That spirit of conservation informs all of my repair work on fretted instruments.
